Art and music are important forms of expression and can provide students with valuable skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. However, whether they should be chosen as basic courses depends on the educational goals and priorities of the curriculum. While art and music can enhance a well-rounded education, it is also important to ensure that students have a strong foundation in core subjects such as math, science, and language arts. Ultimately, a balanced curriculum that includes both core subjects and opportunities for artistic expression is ideal for fostering a comprehensive education. **

Art and music both have their own unique benefits and can greatly enhance a student's education. Ultimately, the decision should be based on the individual student's interests and strengths. If a student is more passionate about visual arts, then art may be the better choice for the upper level. On the other hand, if a student has a strong passion for music and a talent for playing an instrument or singing, then music may be the more suitable option. It's important to consider the student's preferences and abilities when making this decision. **
